MARY RAE MOY, Director

Mary Rae Moy began her love of dance at the age of three. She studied jazz and tap for nineteen years under the direction of Teri Wilkerson at Dance Discovery Studios.  Her performance experience expanded to Musical Theatre while dancing at McMurry University, the Paramount Theatre and with the Abilene Opera Association. She was a member of Chameleon Jazz Company for three years until she moved to Austin to pursue a degree in Interior Design at Texas State University. While at TSU, Mary Rae had the privilege of being a member of the nationally recognized Strutters under the direction of Barbara Tidwell. After receiving her degree, she moved to San Antonio.  Working as a designer, she also had the opportunity to share her excitement and love of tap and jazz with hundreds of local students at several different dance schools throughout San Antonio, Schertz and surrounding areas. Mary Rae has taught nationally recognized competition pieces for various studios and continues to further her education by attending workshops and conventions nationwide.

Being the Owner & Director here at Lonestar and sharing her love of dance with each student that walks into our doors has brought more excitement and love than she ever imagined and she can’t wait to see what the future has in store!

Mary Rae & her husband, Brian, are proud parents to Lilly Jo. She’s a spunky 5 year old who loves to be at the studio and grew up in her “second home”. Lilly Jo is excited to be on the LCD Company as a Petite Member. The Moy Family loves to spend time outside, on their ranch, on the lake or out the coast fishing. They have two dogs and a few cats who now call them family!
